Talented, present and charismatic are the words I use to describe Isla. When Isla enters the room, it quickly gets lighter, more energetic, and more positive. As a teacher, she is able to read a room quickly and establish connections to the students in her class. Her class plans are smartly and carefully devised, yet she has the ability to change direction when the classroom warrants a change. Her combinations are musical, clear, concise, and fun to learn.

Isla is the reason my daughter fell in love with tap!! Isla has worked with my daughter on 4 of her tap solos. She’s been working with her since she was 12 and is now 16. My daughter absolutely loves Isla!! She has helped my daughter grow in her musicality, rhythmically and overall in her confidence in tap. She knows how hard to push her every year and challenges her to become her best!! We have asked Isla to come in from out of state and teach her solo choreography because we love her that much!!

Isla has been the most influential tap teacher I have ever had. She has challenged me to take my tap to a higher level through choreography, technique, and performing. Isla takes the time to connect with each of her students to help them develop as dancers. She is creative and uses her talent of understanding rhythms to create a positive experience for anyone in her class.

I had the privilege to watch Isla perform at the Raw Artists Boston performance and just have to say that she is most definitely a PERFORMER! This girl does everything with a smile and exudes excitement and energy as someone with her craft and talent should! I get so much joy out of watching anyone truly enjoy and shine when they use their God-given talents, and this girl has DEFINITELY got plenty of it!! She is a personality full of spunk, inclusiveness, fun, and good vibes! She chooses to tap dance, but has the spirit to pick up any kind of dance, and have fun doing it! And to think, this girl can improv. like most people have worked on a routine for months! She's got that rhythm and time in her bones, and isn't afraid to try anything! I applaud her bravery and free spirit to be able to get up in front of that many people and share her love and passion with a world that is often quick to criticize and judge.
